The New Jersey Senior Olympic games return to Woodbridge on Sept. 6, 7 & 8 when Senior athletes from across the state gather to participate in the annual Senior Olympic games - this is the 12th consecutive year that Woodbridge Township has welcomed the statewide New Jersey Senior Olympic competition.  Last year’s games were tremendously successful with more than 1,200 Senior Olympians from around the state participating in the three-day Olympic competition - we expect the 2019 games will be even more exciting and well-attended.

This year, the Mayor’s Office is offering Woodbridge Township Senior Olympic athletes a special incentive to participate in the Senior Olympic games.  REGISTER TODAY and the Woodbridge Senior Olympic Committee will pay $25.00 toward the $30.00 General Registration fee – that means you pay just $5.00 to participate and compete in up to three Olympic events.  Go to the Senior Olympic web page at: www.njseniorolympics.com to take advantage of this special offer.  Or obtain a copy of the 2019 General Information & Registration booklet…fill out and submit the General Registration Form (you must be a Woodbridge Township resident with a Woodbridge Township mailing address) along with a $5.00 check or money order payable to the NJSO/GSG…and we’ll do the rest.

September 11, 2019 stands as the 18th Anniversary of the “Attack on America.”  On that fateful day in 2001, nine Woodbridge Township residents fell victim... never to return to their families – Cmdr. On Wed., Sept. 11, 2019, the Office of the Mayor, the Municipal Council, the Woodbridge Interfaith Clergy Council and representatives from the Woodbridge Township Emergency Response community will host: “A Township Remembers: An Interfaith Memorial Service.”  The Interfaith Memorial Service will be held outside Town Hall (One Main Street) at the Township 9/11 Memorial Park at 6:00 PM.  Plan to attend to recognize the sacrifice of the nine Township residents who perished in the attack and to honor our emergency service providers who respond to crisis - not just in time of disaster, but every day in every way.
