Mayor’s Summer Concerts… On Stage This Week…


The Mayor’s Summer Concert Series returns to the Country Sunday stage at Parker Press Park at 6:00 PM on Sunday (July 28) with The Linda Rondstadt Experience.  The Mahoney Brothers revive their Golden Oldies favorites on Monday (July 29) and Broken Arrow (Neil Young Tribute) rock the Tribute Tuesday stage on Tuesday (July 30)... both concerts LIVE on-stage at 7:00 PM on the grass field behind Woodbridge High School.  


Woodbridge Wednesday hosts The Weeklings (July 31) at 7:30 PM on the Parker Press stage and Local Band Thursday returns with Dead Cowboys on Thursday (August 1) at Tanzman Park (across from the Downtown Woodbridge Train Station) at 7:30 PM.  Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the FREE concerts with family and friendsThe cost of admission to a Mayor’s Summer Concert is a can, or two, or three of non-perishable food for the We  Feed Woodbridge Food Bank.  Check out the full Mayor’s Summer concert line-up on the Township Web Page at: www.twp.woodbridge.nj.us.

The Avenel Performing Arts Center (APAC) - the region’s newest performing arts center designed for theatre, stage productions and special performances – has rolled-out the Red Carpet and is welcoming theatre-goers with the very best entertainment venue in Central Jersey.  The APAC, located at 150 Avenel Street, is a multi-disciplinary performing arts center located in Avenel (Woodbridge Township). Managed by the Woodbridge Arts Alliance (WAA), the APAC promises to energize Avenel and surrounding communities by programming exceptional, professional theatre, music, comedy, dance and more.  The APAC features seating for 200 patrons, a separate performance room and pre-function lobby area that opens to exterior space for larger gatherings and events.  APAC also features Curtains Restaurant – a stand-alone dining destination available for catered pre-performance and special events.

The Theatre at Woodbridge High School is the center of Theater Arts in central New Jersey with the performance of CABARET by an incredibly talented group of Woodbridge actors, actresses and supporting cast. Walk the Woodbridge Wild at the Oros Wildlife Preserve on Saturday


Take a “Walk in the Woodbridge Wild” at the Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve in Avenel on Saturday (July 27) and join our Naturalists on a guided bird walk to see (and Hear) birds in a variety of habitats.  The Oros Wildlife Preserve is a “birding” hotspot with more than 179 species reported om ebird.com!!!  The Oros Preserve contains ponds, wetlands, forest, fields and a butterfly garden which provide habitat for a myriad of plant and wildlife species.  Explore the Wildlife Preserve and learn about the diversity of life right here in the middle of Woodbridge Township.   Walking tour leaves from the Oros Wildlife Preserve Gazebo at 8:00 AM.  The Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve is located at Omar Avenue in Avenel.  Register by email or phone to secure a space on the tour.  Contact Eileen at: Eileen.caggiano@ywp.woodbridge.nj.us or call 732-596-4047.

The Club at Woodbridge is now part of the Woodbridge Township Recreation Family – and we’re offering an incredible menu of health, wellness, fitness and entertainment programs, events and happenings to members and guests!!!  The Club is the perfect complement to the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC) right across Main Street.  Both facilities have a pool, running track, cardio rooms, weight rooms, concession areas and child care functions. Both run summer camps for kids and personal training and other amenities.
