Mayors Summer Concert Series...Performing this Week
|
|
|
|
|
The Mayor’s Summer Concert Series returns to the Country Sunday stage at Parker Press Park on Sunday (August 26) with Paul Barrere & Fred Tackett of Little Feat. The Infernos take the stage for the final Monday Night Concert performance of the season on Monday (August 27) and The B-Street Band (Bruce Springsteen Tribute) rock the Tribute Tuesday stage on Tuesday (August 28)... both concerts LIVE on-stage at 7:30 PM on the grass field behind Woodbridge High School. Woodbridge Wednesday doubles-up on August 29 with The Cameos (re-scheduled Monday concert) at 7:30 PM at WHS and Kenny White-Willie Nile at 7:30 PM on the Parker Press stage. Local Band Thursday returns with Marty & The Martians on Thursday (August 30) at Tanzman Park (across from the Downtown Woodbridge Train Station) at 7:30 PM. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the FREE concerts with family and friends. admission to a Mayor’s Summer Concert is a can, or two, or three of non-perishable food for the We Feed Woodbridge Food Bank. The Woodbridge Farmers’ Market is OPEN every Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 to 8:30 PM at Parker Press Park. The WB Farmers’ Market has expanded with a brand-new “Jersey Fresh” farmer and specialty food vendors. Melick’s Town Farm Market offers straight-from-the-field produce, vegetables, fruits, flowers, plants and organic specialties. Market vendors include: J.J. Walk the Woodbridge Wild at Oros Park on Saturday

Greenable Woodbridge leads a Walk in the Woodbridge Wild at Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve in Avenel on Saturday (Aug. 25.) Explore the Wildlife Preserve on a guided bird walk to see (and hear) birds in a variety of habitats. The Oros Wildlife Preserve is a birding hot spot with over 160 species reported on ebird.com. Birders of all levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. Binoculars will be provided. Walks in the Woodbridge Wild are sponsored by M&T Bank and Bayshore Recycling. The walk & explore tour starts at 8:00 AM (rain date Sun., Aug. 26) from the Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve located at Omar Avenue in Avenel.
