Mayors Summer Concert Series...Performing this Week

The Mayor’s Summer Concert Series returns to the Country Sunday stage at Parker Press Park at 6:00 PM on Sunday (July 8) with Amy Helm.  The Happenings take the Golden Oldies stage on Monday (July 9) and The Guthrie Brothers (Simon & Garfunkel) return for Tribute Tuesday (Tues., July 10)... both concerts LIVE on-stage at 7:30 PM on the grass field behind Woodbridge High School.  Woodbridge Wednesday hosts Charlie Crockett (July 11) at 7:30 PM on the Parker Press stage and Local Band Thursday performs on Thursday (July 12) with Brandywine Road at Tanzman Park (across from the Downtown Woodbridge Train Station) at 7:30 PM.  Friday Jazz hosts the Danny Mixon Quartet with Antoinette Montague on Friday (July 13) at Eric LeGrande Park in Avenel Station Village.  Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the FREE concerts with family and friendsThe cost of admission to a Mayor’s Summer Concert is a can, or two, or three of non-perishable food for the We Feed Woodbridge Food Bank.  Check out the full Mayor Summer Concert  line-up on the Township Web Page at: www.twp.woodbridge.nj.us


Pizza Run set for Wed., July 11... Sign-Up Today!!!

Woodbridge is on the run... for pizza! The Mayor's Wellness Campaign, The Club at Woodbridge and Wegmans sponsor the annual Woodbridge Run for Pizza on Wed., July 11.  Sign-up today for the 4-mile run thru Alvin P. Williams Park and the Sewaren waterfront.  Celebrate at the finish line with pizza provided by local restaurants. Prizes awarded to the top three overall female and male runners and the top three male and female runners in each age group.  Register before July 9 for only $25.00 ($20.00 USATF-NJ members).  Race Day Registration: $30.00.  Corporate and Team Entries welcome! Run for Pizza is a USATF New Jersey 500 Point Event.  Proceeds benefit the Mayor’s Council on Physical Fitness & Sports.  See you at the finish line! After the run head over to Parker Press Park for the Woodbridge Wednesday concert – Charlie Crockett at 7:30 PM.   


Barron Arts Center Flea Market Returns on Sat., July 14

The Barron Arts Center will host their annual outdoor Flea Market on Sat., July 14, 2018 from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.  (Rain or Shine)  Get great deals on toys, books, household items, specialty crafts and much more! Food market & vendors open all day.  The Flea Market is at Parker Press Park (400 Rahway Ave. in downtown Woodbridge).  The flea market benefits the Woodbridge Township Cultural Arts Commission and programming at The Barron Arts Center throughout the year.

For five days this summer (July 20, 21, 22, 27 & 28) The Theatre at Woodbridge Middle School (525 Barron Ave.) will be the center of Theater Arts in central New Jersey with the performance of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS by an incredibly talented group of Woodbridge actors, actresses and supporting cast. Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names Audrey II - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it... BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!

Walk the Woodbridge Wild at the Oros Wildlife Preserve on Sat., July 14

Take a “Walk in the Woodbridge Wild” at the Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve in Avenel on Sat., July 14.  The Oros Wildlife Preserve contains ponds, wetlands, forest, fields and a butterfly garden which provide habitat for a myriad of plant and wildlife species.  Explore the Wildlife Preserve and learn about the diversity of life right here in the middle of Woodbridge Township.   Walking tour leaves from the Oros Wildlife Preserve Gazebo at 10:00 AM.  The Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve is located at Omar Avenue in Avenel.  Register by email or phone to secure a space on the tour.  Contact Eileen at: Eileen.caggiano@ywp.woodbridge.nj.us or call 732-596-4047.
