Mayor’s Summer Concert Series Returns

The MAYOR’S SUMNER CONCERT SERIES returns with Second Friday Jazz on Fri., July 14 with STEPHANE WREMBLE taking the stage at Frank G. Pelzman Park (Tappan Street & West Park Ave. in Avenel).  TRUCK STOP TROUBADOURS OUTLAW COUNTRY perform on the Country Sunday stage at Parker Press Park on Sun., July 16 at 6:00 PM.  Everyone’s favorite - EMIL STUCCHIO & THE CLASSICS - return to the WHS stage on Mon., July 17 at 7:30 PM.  Tribute Band Tuesday is EAGLEMANIA (Eagles Tribute) on Tues., July 18 at WHS.  JOHN FULBRIGHT takes the Woodbridge Wednesday stage on Wed., July 19 at Parker Press Park at 7:30 PM.  Local Band Thursday “rocks” with SMOKEHOUSE on Thurs., July 20 from the Tanzman Park stage (across from the Downtown Woodbridge Train Station) at 7:30 PM.    Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the FREE concerts with family and friends!!!  The cost of admission to the Mayor’s Summer Concert’s is a can, or two, or three of non-perishable food for the We Feed Woodbridge Food Bank.  Check out the full Mayor Summer Concert line-up on the Township Web Page at: www.twp.woodbridge.nj.us.


WEST SIDE STORY... On Stage:  July 21-29

For five days this summer (July 21, 22, 23, 28 & 29) The Theatre at Woodbridge Middle School (525 Barron Ave.) will be the center of Theater Arts in central New Jersey with the performance of WEST SIDE STORY by an incredibly talented group of Woodbridge actors, actresses and supporting cast.  Young lovers are caught between prejudice and warring street gangs in this seminal retelling of Romeo and Juliet.  From the first notes to the final breath, WEST SIDE STORY is one of the most memorable musicals and greatest love stories of all time. Arthur Laurents' book remains as powerful, poignant and timely as ever. The score by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim is widely regarded as one of the best ever written. Barron Arts Center Flea Market Opens on Saturday

The Barron Arts Center will host their annual outdoor Flea Market on Sat., July 15 from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.  (Rain or Shine)  Get great deals on toys, books, household items, specialty crafts and much more! Food market & vendors open all day.  The Flea Market is at Parker Press Park (400 Rahway Ave. in downtown Woodbridge).  The flea market benefits the Woodbridge Township Cultural Arts Commission and the free programming at The Barron Arts Center throughout the year.

The area’s best (and most challenging) mini-golf course is now open!!!  And while you’re at SkyLine Mini-Golf, check-out the “Batting Cage” Center – 3 new batting cages to improve that “Home Run” swing!!!  Open: Mon. – Thurs.: Noon-9:00 PM.  Fri. & Sat.: Noon-10:00 PM.  Sunday: Noon-9:00 PM.
