It’s Almost Summer!!!! Which means it’s time to plan your “Staycation ~ Vacation” in Woodbridge. We’re kicking-off the Summer festivities with the first-ever WB SummerFest – a FREE preview of this Summer’s upcoming Concerts, Events, Festivals and Happenings!! The region’s hottest band – THE BENJAMINS – take the stage at 7:30 PM. Enjoy a preview performance from the Woodbridge Community Players and the cast of West Side Story. Shop the Farmers Market. Sign-up for the Pizza Run and other wellness events. And There Is So Much More To Explore!!! The WB SummerFest arrives on Thurs., June 22 at 4:00 PM at the Woodbridge Community Center, 600 Main Street.

Mayor’s Summer Concert Series Ready to “Rock ‘n’ Roll’

The Mayor’s Summer Concert Series gets underway with an incredible lineup of Golden Oldies “Doo Wop” bands on Mon., June 26 with everyone’s favorite – The Duprees. Tribute Band Tuesday takes the stage on Tues., June 27 with Radio Nashville. Concerts start at 7:30 PM on the grass field behind Woodbridge High School. Woodbridge Wednesday “LIVE” concerts return to the Parker Press Park stage on Wed., June 28 with performances at 7:30 P.M. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the FREE concerts with family and friends! Local Band Thursday kicks-off their hometown concert season with local musicians and their bands on June 29 at Tanzman Park (across from the Downtown Woodbridge Train Station) at 7:30 PM. Second Friday Jazz musicians take the stage at 7:30 PM from Frank Pelzman Park in Avenel (end of West Park Avenue on Tappen Street). Country Sunday returns to the Parker Press stage every Sunday night at 6:00 PM with the biggest Country-Western bands in the area. Barron Arts Center Presents: In the Still of the Night – New Jersey Photography Forum

The Barron Arts Center and the New Jersey Photography Forum presents: “In the Still of the Night” - a series of 51 photographs made by 22 members of the New Jersey Photography Forum. The artists were challenged to explore scenes that appear completely different at night. Locations of the images span from New Jersey through the United States to Europe and Iceland. All images in the exhibit are for sale. The exhibit is on view at the Barron Arts Center through June 30, 2017. Weekdays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Saturdays & Sundays from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

Woodbridge is on the run...for pizza! The Mayor's Wellness Campaign, The Club at Woodbridge and Wegmans sponsor the annual Woodbridge Run for Pizza on Thurs., July 6, 2017. Sign-up today for the 4-mile run thru Alvin P. Williams Park and the Sewaren waterfront. Celebrate at the finish line with pizza provided by local restaurants. Prizes awarded to the top three overall female and male runners and top three male and female runners in each age group. Register before July 4 for only $25.00. Race Day Registration: $30.00. Corporate and Team Entries welcome! Run for Pizza is a USATF New Jersey 500 Point Event. Proceeds benefit the Mayor’s Council on Physical Fitness & Sports. See you at the finish line!
