Five Branches - Grand Opening - Director - 7-20-18Woodbridge Township - Mayor John E. McCormac, the Woodbridge Township Municipal Council and the Woodbridge Township Department of Health & Human Services, today celebrated the Grand Opening of the all-new Five Branches Senior Center in the Iselin section of Woodbridge with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

With more than 200 Woodbridge Township Senior residents in attendance, the Five Branches Senior Center - named in honor of the Five Branches of the United States Armed Services: US Army, US Navy, USMC, US Air Force and the US Coast Guard – is located in the newly renovated T. Nulty American Legion Post #471. Five Branches stands as a gateway connecting the Township’s Senior residents 60 years of age and older by providing vital community services that help Seniors remain healthy, active and independent.

“The new multi-purpose Five Branches Senior Center serves as important anchor in the Iselin community, offering quality services and programs that our Senior’s need and deserve,” said Mayor McCormac. “The Five Branches Senior Center, along with the Evergreen Senior Center in Colonia and the Sycamore Senior Center in Port Reading, offer Senior residents a convenient neighborhood multi-purpose center designed to engage every visitor in social, recreational, educational, health and wellness programs and activities that enhance their Quality-of-Life and serve to cultivate new friendships.”

The Five Branches Senior Center includes a large community room, activity rooms, game room, computer learning center with FREE wifi, and a café’ area with kitchen. Senior residents are encouraged to register as a member of the Five Branches Senior Center – Registration is FREE. The Five Branches Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
