Planning Board – Annual Notice - 2022
In accordance with Statute requirements of the Open Public Meetings Act C.10:4-8(d), listed below are the regularly scheduled meetings for the Planning Board of the Township of Woodbridge for the year 2022. All meetings will be held on Wednesday evenings in Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 1 Main Street, Woodbridge, New Jersey, at 6:00 p.m., and continue until adjournment at 10:15 p.m., unless publicized to be held at another location.
Reorganization meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Special meetings and executive sessions of the Planning Board will be scheduled at the call of the Chair. Adequate notice of these meetings will be provided in accordance with the requirements of the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act.

Alternate Details
Current and prospective members as well as alternates are required to take 5 hours of training through a basic course in land use law and planning (Planning Law 2005, Chapter 133).
Class Descriptions
The Planning Board has 9 members who are selected from 4 different classes. The Class I member is the mayor or the mayor's designee. His/Her term of office is the same as his/her official term as mayor. The Class II member is an official (non-elected) from the town, appointed by the mayor. His/Her term of office is 1 year. The Class III member is a member of the town council and is appointed by the governing body. His/Her term of office is 1 year unless he/she completes his/her term as councilperson.
The rest of the Board is made up of Class IV members. These are citizens of the town who have been appointed by the mayor. Their term of office is 4 years. Their terms are staggered so that not all are up for reappointment in any one year.
Responsibilities
The Planning Board is responsible for reviewing and approving applications for development and subdivisions in permitted zones, reviewing the Master Plan and any amendments thereto, conditional use applications, review capital improvements, bond ordinances and changes in land use ordinances.

Adequate notice of these meetings will be provided in accordance with the requirements of the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act. Furthermore, in accordance with Statute requirements of the Open Public Meetings Act C.10:4-8(d), we must list meetings.
