Woodbridge Township Memorial Vigil & COVID-19 Hero Celebration

COVID Remembrance

On Sunday, September 20, 2020, The Office of the Mayor, Municipal Council, and Woodbridge Recreation Department hosted a “Remembrance Vigil Ceremony” to honor and remember the lives of Township residents who passed during the quarantine lockdown and could not have a proper funeral service. Immediately following the vigil, Township officials shifted gears for the “COVID-19 Community Hero Day” celebration to recognize and celebrate community heroes such as the Township’s nine fire departments, four first aid squads, Department of Public Works, essential employees, healthcare heroes, and individuals who went above and beyond during the height of the pandemic.
