The Woodbridge Township Cable TV Commission was established to advise the Township Administration, Municipal Council and the Woodbridge Township community on the issues and concerns pertaining to cable TV franchises operating within the Township. Associated with this responsibility is the periodic review of the franchise renewal for Comcast - the Township’s sole cable TV franchise operator – pursuant to the Cable Communications Policy Act of 1984.
In support of its mission, the Woodbridge Township Cable TV Commission conducts meetings and public hearings to determine the quality of cable television services provided to subscribers within the Township and makes recommendations as appropriate relative to the nature and quality of cable television services. The Commission also has the responsibility to review agreements between the Township and the cable franchise, both contractual and verbal, monitor compliance, and issue a periodic report to the Mayor and Council.
