Formal action will be taken at all meetings. Executive Session may take place at any Council Meeting / Work Session.

Anyone who attends a Council Meeting / Work Session who requires use of the Phonic Ear Assistive Listening Device is asked to notify the Municipal Clerk's Office no later than 3 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

Various Authorities


The Municipal Council, as authorized by Chapter 4, Article 2:4-5 of the Revised Ordinances of the Township of Woodbridge shall constitute the authority to administer the issuance of licenses and to enforce state statutes and regulations and Local Ordinances relating to alcoholic beverage control. The Municipal Council shall have the authority to afford a hearing if and when there is a need for such action.

Reorganization Meetings - Opening of 2016


On New Year's Day, the Woodbridge Township Municipal Council held their annual Reorganization Meeting and Inaugural to open the 2016 Council session. Mayor John E McCormac was sworn in for the start of his 3rd, 4 year term. Council President Nancy Drumm (First Ward) and Council Vice President Richard Dalina (Second Ward) will preside for the upcoming Council term.

Re-elected At-Large Councilmen Gregg Ficarra and Kyle Anderson and Councilwoman Lizbeth DeJesus, along with newly elected Councilman Brian Small, took the Oath-of-Office for their upcoming 4-year terms. Councilman James Major (Fourth Ward), Councilwoman Debbie Meehan (Fifth Ward), and Councilman Cory Spillar (Third Ward) round out the 2016 Council.

Council Description


The Municipal Council is the legislative body which represents the public. It receives input, develops and adopts policy, resolves public issues, formulates Township policy through motions, resolutions, and ordinances which reflect the needs of the public, and maintains a working knowledge of intergovernmental issues and how they will affect Woodbridge Township.

Clerk's Office


The Municipal Clerk's Office is considered to be the hub of the municipal operations; serving as liaison between the governing officials and the taxpayers and between the executive and legislative bodies. The Municipal Clerk and his staff serve as secretary to the governing body, secretary to the municipal corporation, election official and administration official. Additionally, the office handles requests for copies of information for the public required to be kept on file, and records birth and death certificates, processes marriage licenses, voter registration forms, etc. The office also receives all applications for bingo and raffle licenses and issues permits required by Ordinance for garage sales, parking, etc.
