Employment Success

Mayor Letterhead
Dear Woodbridge Township Business:
Looking to hire? Why not look to Woodbridge Township for well-qualified employees. Woodbridge Township is working to connect local businesses and corporations that have job openings with Woodbridge residents who are in the job market. Toward that end, we have developed these webpages where local companies can post job openings (Local Employment Opportunities) and where Township residents can submit a resume (Resumes of Available Applicants).

The Woodbridge Township job bank has been operational for several months and has produced some impressive results - for both employers and job candidates.

Maxwell’s restaurant in Colonia reports:

Dear Woodbridge Job Bank,
We are a new restaurant in Woodbridge. We recently took advantage of the Woodbridge Township Employment Opportunity Center by posting as ad for hiring our team. We found some talented people and have hired them. Thanks for creating this site on the Township web page. It is a great tool for sourcing talent and being local.

A successful job search candidate writes:

Dear Woodbridge On-Line Job Bank,
I recently posted my resume on the Woodbridge Township employment site. I was unemployed for eight months and because of the employment site, I'm now employed with Bayshore Recycling Corp. in their Keasbey office. Then two days after accepting employment, I received another call for an interview with a business in Avenel. I just wanted to let you know that this is a valuable "tool" and that it works. On behalf of the many Woodbridge Township residents, thank you so much for this simple yet valuable service.
Sincerely, C.D. – Woodbridge Township

The Woodbridge Township Local Employment Opportunity web site stands as the best link for employers looking to hire “local” employees. It goes without saying that when local employers hire local residents, we strengthen our local economy. If your company, business, or retail store is looking to hire, go to the Woodbridge Township Job Bank first.

Whether it’s connecting local businesses with local job-seekers… the “Buy Local” initiative… the on-line list of Woodbridge Township businesses and contractors… the web link to available commercial real estate in Woodbridge… or any business matter, we are available to assist you and the Woodbridge Township business community. Thanks for doing business in Woodbridge.

Best regards,

Mayor John E. McCormac

Another Success Story

Dear Mayor McCormac:
I recently posted my resume on the Woodbridge Township employment site. I've been unemployed for 8 months with the school district, and because of the employment site, I' now employed with Bayshore Recyclables in Keasbey in their office. Then 2 days after accepting employment, I received another call for an interview with a business in Avenel, I respectfully declined.

I just wanted to let you know that this is a valuable "tool" and that it works. I'm going to be very happy working with my new employer and I plan to be their employee for many years to come. I went to 2 employment agencies while I was unemployed and they didn't even get me an interview with a business and in just 1 month with your township employment site I got a job!!

On behalf of the many Woodbridge Township residents, thank you so much for this simple yet valuable service.

From,

Cathy DeStasio
